It’s summer time! I mean semester! The summer semester had begun last Sunday, and Im not very excited though. Anyway, I had like millions of things to do in the last couple of days. First, my family came from Kuwait, my maternal uncle and I went to the airport to take them home. My uncle was in the united states for about 20 years, he used to come to Jordan for vacations, but his vacations were at winter, so my family didn’t get the chance to see him, can you believe that my mother haven’t seen her brother since 1987 ?? and she just saw him two days ago !
Anyway, aside from the family stuff, I would like to talk a little bit about the summer semester, and the last semester.
The Second Semester:
Last semester (the 2nd semester), I took the following courses: Operating Systems, Simulation and Modeling, VLSI( Very Large Scale Integrated Circuits), Numerical Computations, and Graduation Project Phase I (Survey).
My favorite course was the “Operating Systems”. A very interesting course, yet EXTREMELY important. The most interesting part was the Linux lab. It was very useful to apply everything you took on the Linux kernel. The Simulation course was also interesting but the instructor didn’t like us!. VLSI is a great course, advanced one, and not easy though, but the instructor was so cooperative, he made it as easy as possible, and he helped us. The Numerical Computation, Im in love with math, and the course was not bad at all, I should’ve taken this one a year ago, but I postponed it, and I still don’t know why. Finally, “phase I” of my graduation project, I will write about it soon
The Summer Course:
After struggling with the department, we convinced them to provide us with enough courses for the summer semester. I took the following courses: Networks Security, Wireless Networks, and Auto Cad Lab. Networks Security: This should be a good course, focusing Cryptography, SSL, hack attacks, penetration testing, and vulnerability research. Our university is the only university that teach this course in Jordan for undergraduates, I hope they teach in the right way. Wireless Networks: This is an elective course, and will be taught by instructor from the Hashemite University, I don’t know much about it, but I’ve been told that it’s an important course. AutoCad Lab: I should’ve taken this course two years ago, but its timing was(and still) bad, it should be an easy course, and the funniest part is that im the older student in the class, all the students are like two years younger.

I like cryptography! It reminds me when i was undergraduate student 4 years ago. It’s about DES, MD5, RSA stuff. I like them.

Duuuuuuude
this is so exciting

Guess what, I’m one of the people who worked on the Wireless standards and network security “thingies” look up 802.1x, 802.11i, EAP/PEAP and other goodies
Hey are you in JUST? because just recently they’re deploying my baby there for wireless neetworks. Doubt its going to be 802.11i but who knows

Karin: We had good time with the family
and about the courses, they’re just normal university courses , you know, it’s our major
Moey: I really hate drawing, even if it’s autocad :/
Khaidar: Today we took our first class in cryptography, sounds interesting
JNETs: This should make sense, cuz I have no taste of any kind of art, maybe that’s why I like my weird courses :s
RainDrop: Tell me about it, Im already missing them, It’s my last summer course !
Qwaider: yes Im in JUST, you worked in JUST wireless netwoerk ?? It’s still incomplete, the coverage area is still limited, I heared It was developed by Dr.Omar Al-Jarrah at the computer information center.

I’m the hidden hands that empower your Dr to make such claims.
I don’t go and deploy things. There are people that does that.
I’m the guy who’s expected to have all the answers. If there is no answer, create one!
