That’s what I was talking about a week earlier…

Yes, Americans. Your government used the Veto to prevent stopping the war, and your smart bombs & stupid government caused this disgrace.
A Massacre by your weapons took place, most of the victims are children. Your smart bombs either kills or wounds in a brutal manner.

Live in this shameful disgrace, there’s no dignity left. The worse is yet coming, in the next few days. Thanks for your taxes, smart bombs and stupid government.

Politics and ThoughtsAbed Hamdan on 26 Jul 2006 01:04 pm

Yesterday, “Robin” shared this impressive story with us, and It’s just one more evidence that peace is still possible, and I still count on you people to work for peace. Trust me on this guys. Weapons, killing, and war will not give peaceful life to any nation, and for the sake of the innocent people, let’s just work together to stop this madness, I beleive that together, we can make a change.

This is the story…

I am an American so if I may I would like to add to your discourse here. Short bio, in 1975 I married a Moslem (we are since amicably divorced. I am Catholic now, but wasn’t much of anything at the time except if you would like the tag ‘loosely Christian by culture). When I left America to go live in the Mideast (Lebanon and eventually KSA) I was very young and pretty much open to the adventure. What I got was one of the most wonderful periods of my life which I still carry with me today in the child born 28 years ago to that union. I was in Beirut when the civil war broke out there for the next six months. I was young, naive, TOTALLY out of my element and in a war zone. But that experience has much to do with what shaped the rest of my life. If I had chosen to, I could have taken that experience and said, “I’m OUT OF HERE”, but that really was not an option. Instead, I remained with my new Moslem family who protected me with their lives, just as they would now. When we had to finally leave Beirut, we were five women, an infant, and our Christian driver. Each checkpoint that we encountered could have meant death to us. As an American I was definitely a liability to the other passengers. The last check point we encountered was the most frightening, it was Philangist near the airport. The guns were pointed at us as our driver was ordered from the car. In the end, my mother-in-law had to pay a bribe and we were allowed to go on.
Why am I telling you this story? Because it is a metaphor for the good people, the kind and excepting people, sharing a car (our world), risking our lives to reach a destination, protecting each other against the hatred we encounter. It is not about the differences in our religions, it is not about the hate all around us, it is about reaching out to each other in an attempt to understand so that the hatred is disspelled. I am praying with you, and with others, from the depth of my soul, that this madness will end. Please everyone, pray for peace and do everything in your own power to promote it in your own words and deeds.

-Robin

Some people still think that they can live in peace by killing others or by means of war. Well, I beleive that peace is the only way to live in peace. Like it or not, this is a fact that you should be aware of.

Politics and ThoughtsAbed Hamdan on 21 Jul 2006 12:23 am

For all those who worship Israel, Im sorry to tell you, but your legendary moral-less army is losing battles. Myths of the Israeli army are collapsing. It’s a natural consequence of the stupid policy and the non-planned adventures taking by the dumb government of Olmert.

Some might argue that Israel has not lost the war. I agree, they didn’t lose the war, but they are losing battle over battle, since the late 1990s, and the unfair war against Lebanon is just another example.

In my last post, I said that Hezbollah was smart enough to drag Israel into a long-term war. A war that Israel can’t win, and a war that Hezbollah can’t lose. It seems that the Israeli themselves realized this fact, but It’s too late now. Haaretz said that ” Hezbollah wants war of attrition with Israel”. So It’s not about kidnapped soldiers as some of you still argue.

What battles Israel lost in South Lebanon?
The Israeli army is stuck in the Lebanese borders, they tried to sneak into the lebanese territories, but surprisingly have been stopped 4 times, and their tanks have been destroyed. Besides, they’re still targetless, they’re attakcing the whole country, burning buildings, killing women and children, but their attacks never reach any Hezbollah resistant yet. Also given the fact that “1.2 million Israelis living in the north of the country to remain vigilant and to stay in shelters.[ source ]”

Any Plan?
What’s their plan?? Do they even have a plan ??
If so, do you think that they’re trying to repeat the scenario of the 1980s when they forced the Palestinian Authority to withdraw from Lebanon ?? Are they that stupid ??
This time things are different, they can’t force Hezbollah to leave the Lebanese land, they belong to this land, and those who fights are the Lebanese citizens. Everybody is supporting Hezbollah, and everybody know that only Hezbollah can humiliate and defeat the Israeli Arrogant army again. Many Lebanese have their children caged illegally in the Israeli prisons, and this war is nothing but a hope. Israel has destroyed the infrastructe of Lebanon, but everybody in the Arab world is willing to rebuild Lebanon, and they will, just as it was built the last time, but this time It will be built with more pride.

It’s a wrong way.
Question is, did the Israeli way gain any success after the Arab countries let us down ??? Absolutely not. Upon the first intifada, we witnessed the birth of Hamas. Israel didn’t learn, and hence we witnessed the birth of Al-Qassam bridgaes. We saw how our people in Palestine bombed their bodies to protect their children. We also saw the birth of the Palestinian home made rockets, yeah I know they’re elimintary rockets, but they’re evolving as the Israeli crimes increases. [ Read the latest Al-Qassam announcement ]. Moreoever, It’s NOT about Al-Qassam and Hamas anymore. We have Al-Aqsa bridages, and the new emerging bridgaes , Al-Naser Salah Eldeen bridgaes, the Islamic Army, and many! So what the hell is Israel doing ?? killing , genocides, do they really think that they’ll stop those who die to protec their children ??? Do you think Hezbollah will just give up because Israel killed more ?? didn’t Israel know that Hezbollah existence is a normal result of the Israeli genocides and massacres ???

Echos of Hezbollah’s Speeches.
Speaking about the Arab street, It has become more obvious that the speeches of the charismatic leader of Hezbollah, his Highness Hasan Nasrallah, have inspired the Arab street. Everybody here is angry, everybody here is watching news days and nights, everybody here is sad for what Lebanon is going throw, but this time, sadness is with pride and hope. I was listening to one of the speeches by Hasan Nasrallah in a cafe here in Jordan, at the end of the speech, one guy said that we should hang Hasan Nasrallah’s shoes on every Arab country flag, so we can have our dignity and pride again !

Urgent Message to the free World.
If nobody stops the war, then the consequences will be disastrous. Again, It’s not a normal war, and It’s not about kidnapped soldiers.
We still have time to stop the war, Lebanon still alive. But if we don’t seriously move within the next two weeks, then nobody know what will happen. The Lebanese poeple are under siege, (the Lebanese people, not Hezbollah fighters!), and if we wait more, they will run out of food and water. The immoral Israeli army has attacked bridges, shilters, food supplies, electricity providers, water suppliers, and buildings. They want to starve Lebanon to death. They mistakenly think that Hezbollah fighters will starve too. They don’t know that they’re dealing with well trained fighters, full of faith and dedication. The arrogance of the Israeli army is making them more and more blind, and they will eventually lose. But untill someone win or lose, we’ll witness disasters, disasters that could be stopped now.
This urgent message is for all the free women and men in the world, but I exclude the 22 Arab countries. Sorry Arab, but we don’t count on you anymore. I know you’re busy working, making fortunes, having sex, watching whores on TV, having children, ..etc. Sorry, but you’re not worthy anymore.

While armies are fighting, both the Israeli and Lebanese citizens are suffering. For all the free women and men in the world, we need your effort to stop this unfair war. We need to see more protests, more activities, to stop this war, before we witness a disaster that nobody will forgive us for. Our children and grandchildren will curse us and history will never forgive us. We count on you to stop the war. We count on you to save the world from the oncoming disaster.

Politics and ThoughtsAbed Hamdan on 16 Jul 2006 04:26 pm

I tried to write this several times, but I failed, and I kept on deleting and deleting…unless I found out a pleasant to say it.

In brief, what’s happening in Lebanon is not a matter of kidnapped soldiers. As a matter of fact, Hezbollah - from our experience in the past yrs - is way smarter than dragging the whole area into this crisis just for kidnapped soliders. I think It’s a beginning of a long war, a war that will include at least five countries other than Lebanon and Palestine.

The past 50 yrs has revealed a major point of weakness in the Israeli army, which is their arrogance. Yes arrogance!! They can’t accept the fact that they’re humiliated or defeated in a small battle, even if it’s not worthy. I mean, look at them now, they’re targetless!! They haven’t even attacked Hezbollah, they’re killing civilianz in a mad way!! They’re just like a crazy person with weapon. On the other hand, Hezbollah is attacking a major amry units, and destroyed critical military targets. Hezbollah knew that the Israeli will go nuts, and will act unWisely.

My Expectations:
I think that Hezbollah will keep the succesful attacks of core Israli military targets, and hence the Israeli targetless attacks will go even more nuts and will reach Syria.
If they reach Syria, then Iran will launch attacks against Israel, and then the Chaos will start, and never ends.

In the media, there are shy news about the Irani Intellignece presence in Iraq, actually I expected that and I become more sure when I asked my class mate “Zaid” who visited his family in Iraq in the last holiday, he told me that everybody their knows about the Irani armies & intelligence in Iraq. That makes things even more complicated, the Chaos will generate more Chaos, and the whole area will be dragged to the Unknown.

Nobody will be safe, we might see some regimes collapsing, we might witness new powers. Nobody will be safe, and there will be no exceptions, Im referring to the United States and Europe, because we’ll probably see counter terror attacks, and new terror groups will emerge, we might also have new patriot groups, and new resistants.
It will be the war of pride, and the shape of the middle east as we know it now might change.

Call it an exaggeration, but you know what ?? It’s a matter of time, and we will see.
Im not a dreamer, Im not kid, I’ve never been a kid. Im not happy because this might happen, but this should eventually happen. Only Allah knows how the end will be.

If this happens, then we will see blood more than we’ve ever saw before, but It’s ok, It’s the cost of freedom. The end of this war is not clear. It might be freedom, but It might be the end of any hope. Let’s keep praying…

Update:To clear my point :

Im against war and any kind of violence, Im praying days and nights sothat this war stops, and we should all pray for peace.

Update: If your subjected to hypocrite media…Then just take a glimpse at what’s happening in Lebanon. This is a small set of photos of the Massacre in Lebanon

Ok, this is the last set of photos from Al-Aqsa mosque. Whenever I get new photos, I will post them..

So did you like the photos ??

Can you feel how anctient this place is ??

Can you feel the time ??

Can you see Prophet Muhammad (Peace and Blessing Upon Him) praying in this place?

Can you see Prophet Muhammad (Peace and Blessing Upon Him) going up to sky from this mosque ??

Do you even know how does he look like ?

Can you look at his face now, and tell him that we are now two billion Muslims, but we just lost this place, because we’re worthless cowards?

Do you remember the day when Omar Ibn Al-khattab cried when he gave freedom to this land ?

Can you hear the voice of the Horse of Salah El-Den Al-Ayyoubi ??

Do you remember the strength of the sword of Salah El-Den Al-Ayyoubi ??

Do you remember that Salah El-Den Al-Ayyoubi didn’t smile in his life untill he freed this place ?

Do you miss this place ??

Can you accept the fact that both of us are not allowed to go their ??

Do you have any idea that this place will be destroyed soon, becasue of the Israeli tunnels under the mosque ?? It will collapse very soon!

Can you beleive that we’ll never see this place anymore ??

Isn’t this so sad ??

Can you remember the voice of Hassan Nasrallah when he said that we’re the children of the Prophet and Ali and Al Hussien ?

Could you feel the pride ??

Have you seen the gleam in his eyes ??

Do you have any hope ?? Or you’re just too weak ??

What if they won ?? What if they lost ??

Is there anything on this earth that worth living for anymore ??

*sigh*

My Humble Opinion:

There’s no solution, Israel should stop violence and start negotiations to exchange prisoners…more violence will generate more violence..and the circle will never end. Let’s pray to stop the blood.

A man looks at a house hit by Israeli air strikes.

JERUSALEM (CNN) — Israel launched air strikes and sent troops and tanks into southern Lebanon Wednesday, after Hezbollah television said its guerrillas had abducted two Israeli soldiers along the border.
[ Source CNN ]

“Guerrillas” ??? oh sorry, I forgot, It’s a CNN :)

It seems that Ehud Olmert, Israeli dumb Prime Minister can’t learn… He didn’t understand that violence and terror can’t ensure security. His shameful Massacres in Gaza didn’t get his abducted terrorist soldier back, but It forced his government to negotiate eventually. Now he’s doing the same thing with Hezbollah ! Idiot!

Israeli troops near the border with Lebanon on Wednesday.

Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert described the Hezbollah attacks as an “act of war” by Lebanon and promised a “very painful and far-reaching” response, The Associated Press reported.
[ Source CNN ]

He will lose again, and they will release Palestinian & Arab prisoners, just to exchange their three soldiers. Untill they stop and negotiate, we’ll probably see more blood.

I personally dedicate this photo to Olmert.

Bloggers and IslamAbed Hamdan on 10 Jul 2006 01:49 pm

There’s a problem between two of my favorite bloggers: Neverland and Wedad.

The Problem is:

Wedad is a devoted Christian girl, she copy/pasted an article written at elaph newspaper, this is article is considered offending to Muslims.

Neverland is a loyal Muslim girl, and as a result of Wedad’s action, she responded to her post.

Later on, Wedad deleted her post, and politely apologized.

I would like to say something IMPORTANT:

Dear Friends,

I want to remind of you something important:

The first thing you do when beleiving in God (regardless of your religion) is to learn & understand the concept of forgiving.
I understand why Neverland is upset. Im upset too.
but Wedad apologized and removed the post.
What is right (in my opinion ) is that both Neverland and Wedad forgive each others, and get rid of any hard feeling.

Forgive each others girls, and show us how great are both of you. Fights and wars happen all the time, but we should be better, and we should learn to forgive, specially when the other is showing good intentions.
both of you showed good intentions, Neverland’s good intension was getting mad because of her religion, which is a duty, and Wedad showed good intentions because of the apology and the removal of article..

Shake Hands, forget what happened, and Show the world that we’re beyond any kind of racism.

A word to Wedad: I would like to give you an advice as a sister, be extra careful with what you read in the media, we’re dealing with an unfair CONTROLLED media. When you just copied and pasted the article, you didn’t realize that you were doing something wrong for your religion. Some people might hate Christian because of an article that you didn’t write. Be careful.

A word to Neverland: Standing for your religion is the most nobel duty, and you did it well. You’re point is 100% valid, and you’re speaking from a solid background. But , as our religion forces us, if the other want peace, we should give them peace. If they showed good intetion we should show back good intention. Islam is all about peace, If there’s a chance to peace, then we should take it, otherwise, we don’t give up our rights.

Before I finish, take this side note please, and think about it:
Q) Why did the crappy Journal “elaph” published such an article?

A) to create such racism and fights between us.

our reaction should be:
Show them that your effort (elaph’s effort) is worthless.

Just as a last warning, I want to warn you from another news station that is even worse than elaph. Im taking about Al-Arabiya net, in my opinion, it’s the worst arabic broadcasting channel ever. Just don’t read it.

I have an exam on Wednesday, Wish me luck! or otherwise I will start an endless religous war with everybody here !! *smile*

Salam ! :)

This is an interesting article by Eric Kintz. He argues that blog post frequently is not a good blogging practice…and I totally agree with him. I think that blogging should be intented for fun and sharing thoughts, so it’s not a daily duty.

Eric Kintz says that The pressure around posting frequency will ultimately become a significant barrier to the maturity of blogging. Here are 10 reasons why.

#1- Traffic is generated by participating in the community; not daily posting – The blogosphere doubles in size every 6 months and cutting through the clutter will become ever more difficult with a new blog emerging every second. Daily posting deals with the clutter by adding more clutter.

Although this strategy made sense 12 months ago and still makes sense for the top bloggers, its effectiveness diminishes with every new blog created. Traffic is generated by successful bloggers linking to you either in their posts or in their blogroll. Mack at Viral Garden has a series of great posts on the importance of joining the community.

#2 – Traffic is irrelevant to your blog’s success anyway– Unless you specifically target bloggers like Bruce, are a blogging consultant or blog about your latest book, traffic is irrelevant to you. What matters most is whether you are reaching your target audience (which may be narrow and focused), not necessarily how many people read your posts. Engaging with the audience you want to have a relationship with is a much smarter strategy than posting frequently

#3- Loyal readers coming back daily to check your posts is so Web 1.0 – As the blogosphere matures, the number of new readers and bloggers will decrease and loyal readers are going to matter more. I have heard many bloggers tell me that they will lose reader loyalty if these readers come back daily and do not see any new posts. This perception is still very strong although irrelevant. Loyal readers subscribe to your blog via RSS feeds and have new content pushed to them. They will remain loyal because they have subscribed, not because you post frequently.

#4 - Frequent posting is actually starting to have a negative impact on loyalty: Seth Godin (a frequent blogger) has a very interesting theory. According to him, RSS fatigue is already setting in. With too many posts, you run the risk of losing loyal readers, overwhelmed by the clutter you generate. Readers will start to tune off if your blog takes up too much of their time

#5: Frequent posting keeps key senior executives and thought leaders out of the blogosphere – My colleagues and industry peers cite bandwidth constraints as the number one reason for not blogging. They are absolutely right: frequent posting is not very compatible with a high pressure job. As an example, not one single blog is authored by a senior corporate marketing blogger in the top 25 marketing blogs listed by Mack. Not only does the blogosphere lose valuable thought leadership, it runs the risk of being overlooked by these very same marketers.

A recent study by Forrester found a reluctance among marketers to shift from more tried-and-true online channels like search and e-mail marketing. Just 13 percent reported using blogs or social networks in marketing, and 49 percent said they had no plans to do so in the next year. If the blogosphere wants to become more mainstream (vs. being the latest hype), frequent posting and required bandwidth are undoubtedly a major barrier to adoption.

#6: Frequent posting drives poor content quality – The pressure of daily posting drives many bloggers to re-purpose other bloggers’ content or give quick un-insightful comments on the news. Few bloggers have enough time (or expertise) to write daily thought leadership pieces, thus adding to the clutter. Ben at the Church of the Customer Blog explores the 1% rule and cites the Wikipedia example: 25 million readers visit Wikipedia every month, but the number of people who actually contribute content to Wikipedia is about 1-2 percent of total site visitors. I would argue that the same is valid for the blogosphere as a whole where most of the original high value content is driven by 1% of the bloggers. Some of the most insightful –and most quoted- marketing thought blogging leaders are actually infrequent posters, from Sam Decker to Charlene Li or Randi Baseler.

#7: Frequent posting threatens the credibility of the blogosphere – as many bloggers re-purpose existing content under the pressure of daily posting, they do not take the time to do any sort of due diligence and conduct effective research. Errors snowball in the blogosphere as they spread from one blogger to the other. The collective wisdom of user generated content was supposed to provide an alternative to biased traditional media content – it is instead echoing the thoughts and biases of a few.

#8 - Frequent posting will push corporate bloggers into the hands of PR agencies – As they struggle with bandwidth constraints as well as peer pressure to join the blogosphere, more and more companies will resort to partnering with their PR agencies to create blogs. The blogosphere will in turn lose some of its effectiveness and value.

#9 - Frequent posting creates the equivalent of a blogging landfill – According to Technorati, only 55% of bloggers post after 3 months of existence. The pressure of the first months to write frequently certainly contributes to people abandoning their blogs. Is that in the blogosphere’s best interest to have a third of its participants frustrated by their initial efforts?

#10 - I love my family too much - Ann pointed out to me this cool blog that highlights the challenges of blogging addiction – Bloggers Anonymous. Very funny…..

HeHe, the article is not about me dating, It’s about embarrassing dating stories, sent by some readers to the MSN Match making center. Some are really funny and embarrassing though!!

Don’t choke
“On a first date once, we were eating chips and salsa as an appetizer. He was telling some joke, and when I laughed at the punchline, I inhaled the chip a bit too hard and it lodged in my throat: Suddenly, I couldn’t breathe at all! There was salsa pouring out of my mouth, and I was doing that choking signal to him. So he came around and started beating on my back. After a few scary seconds, the chip finally dislodged itself. I don’t even want to think about what I looked like at that moment, all stained with salsa. It took me the whole night of apologizing to feel comfortable around him.”

I know Im not blogging regularly now, I don’t know why! I still spend considerable amount of time online, but Im not even reading any blog! I just read/reply comments on my blog via email!

I really don’t know what’s wrong! and I would like to apologize to all my friends that I used to read and comment on their blogs regularly!

Maybe Im just bored from blogging or blogs, or maybe Im just under pressure! you know, I got home everyday by 6:00 PM, and I just come back exhausted, and I don’t do anything useful when Im tired. I don’t study, I don’t go out, I don’t sleep !

I used to sleep everyday after lunch! yes, I eat and sleep! for at least 3 hrs afternoon, now I don’t. Maybe this change is the reason Im not blogging, or Maybe It’s the pressure again!

I know I’m writing too personal posts, Im doing this on purpose. I started this blog to make it personal as much as possible, I really don’t know why I stuck my nose into too many issues. I really like reading personal blogs, I think personal blogs are the best blogs to read. I don’t want to read about the news, or about sport or anything. I just like to read about others’ daily lives, this is interesting to me! and that’s what dragged me to this blogging thing.

Im screwed !

Today the instructor changed the timing of two lectures, and Im just screwed. Now my daily schedule starts everyday at 8:00AM and ends at 4:30PM ! so I have to wake up everyday at 6:30 AM , and I will be home not before 5:30 PM. and I should be studying when Im home !

I really don’t know how am I going to manage my time, given the fact that I have time management problems with the normal schedules, now with this stupid schedule, I just hope to survive!

the doctor told us that the Wireless course will be about General View of Wireless Networks, Ad Hoc networks, and Blue tooth networks, so It will not be a normal course, It’s a selected topics course. and we should do a project, which is designing a wireless network for our campus ! all this should be done within three weeks, lucky me, not !

This is the worst summer course ever ! Week from now, and I will look like a ghost, just like the previous semester. I had a similar schedule, but It was 10:15 am to 5:00 pm everyday. Now It’s even worse !

hufft !

IMPORTANT: Please don’t mix between “Al-Aqsa” mosque, and “Dome of the Rock” (qubat al sakhra) mosque. The one with Silver dome is called Al-Aqsa, and the one with Golden dome is called “Dome of the rock” (qubbat al sakhra). Al-Aqsa(silver dome) mosque is the one where prophet Muhammad (peace and blessing being upon him) prayed in with all the previous prophets at the Isra’a and Mi’raj night. Thanks for those who reminded me to state the difference between the two mosques. The two mosques are placed in the same place, called Al-haram(al-7aram). The following photos are from both mosques.
