do u know that i don’t know anything about him??
it’s not that i don’t read history .. but it’s just that i keep on mixing between him and other leaders…
anyway .. this is a call for me :: i guess :: to know much about the Arab history coz here in Jordan all what we know about is the great Arab revaluation ..
La wallah badda3 il akh ayyam il 67, preparation… discipline…. tactics amazing. Too bad he didn’t get another chance maybe Israel could have had Cairo as its capital.
Onzlo… i agree with you very much
what did Nasser give us!!!
just tell me one thing Naser did for Arab!! Nothing!!
read the history of Egypt at that period, it was misrable, all good people were in Jail!!
They all share some of the responsibility for what happened, but why shouldn’t I blame him? Why is he absolved of responsibility just because he was good at saying things about our greatness, power etc…. (alot of which I agree with by the way), but in reality he was the most reckless and least prepared Arab leader… What kind of war leader makes threats of genocide - to a people who beleive such things when they hear them, but then has his whole airforce wiped out while it is still on the tarmac?! Both you and I know that as a result of the 67 war Israel managed to triple its land area to include even the Sinai (which was not even an area they particularly wanted to control).
Hamede is think you should read your history, Nasser instead of making sure that no war would take place unless we were 110% prepared for it (or at least he was) negligently if not recklessly created a situation which led to out current miserable position.
You should not blame him because they betrayed him inside egypt and in the arab world, from the start of the war the arab public had been fed lies about their countries military prowess on the battlefield.i do know my history i was 9 years old,and we still living in the 7th day of the 6 days war.
Hamede..the thing is..you’ve read between the lines of the book of politics not what is so called history..
onzlo..although you’ve managed to raise my blodd preasure..and that oftenly gets people in trouble as i tend to bash..i don’t think i’m in a mood to correct u nor convince u not even see u as ignorant..
This is mocking books and history dear bro..
u understand cause u probably know enough about our countries and what really happened not what they write in books..that was hat tipping u hamede..not anything else.
I didn’t read any of the comments above… but let me say my point.
This man was a major reason of what happened in 1967… the only thing he was good in is talking, indeed like all arabs are.
He was busy collecting members of Islamic Brotherhood… sending his soldiers to Yemen… menacing jordan and sudia arabia…
I feel sorry for those who believed for a while that Palestine would be liberated by socialism and the help of these countries which were sending weapons to Israel at the same time… I feel sorry for the fishes of Haifa sea! I feel sorry for Om-Kolthom as she was preparing for the next concert in Haif…
