Ahmad, a Sunni Muslim for the last millenium is someone who follows Sharia through both qur’an and HADITH, and mostly through the teachings of either the Hanbali, Shafi’i, Maliki and Hanafi schools of jurisprudence.

FYI. all those folks were born after 711 AD (the year we Muslims reached Spain), with the exception of Abu Hanifa who was 12 years old at the time. The Umayyad dynasty was in charge of Islam then, and if you read the extensive works of Al-Tabari for example, you will realize that while Muslims during that time thought highly of Muhammad, his actions and words were not as big a part of “shari’a” or law as it was after 900 AD. There are many reasons behind this I won’t go into because you’d better read them from a scholarly source.

Dear Noura:

Nobody have enough knowledge, and believe me I lack the knowledge of my essentials in Islam.

But at least I don’t have all this bitterness and hatred buried in my heart, and I don’t eat myself up hating other people.

We all need to educate ourselves more. I heard many jokes about the virgins in heaven, and this adds to the ignorance they have. I was irritated at first, but who cares really…let them eat their hearts hatred

That is very impressive Abed and informative..what a nice argument you presented..This I will i7sdak 3leiha.. It’s to good to have the knowledge and the power to express it ..
Wallahi am ashamed to say that a lot of muslims and me included we are not educating ourselves enough about the essence of Islam..Let me talk about me personally, what am doing is barely what am asked to do and only to pass the grade and hell.. I shoud read more..
What happen is after sept 11, Islam became the constant argument of every TV debate here, the first question any person would ask if they know you are a muslim.. But all the debates and the questions were not to educate but to find things to make fun of and ridicule, and they stopped at that. They picked the point about the fourty virgins in heaven and that only became what islam is all about.. This made me really tired and I pulled back and didn’t want to know or learn anything anymore..
I feel bad, but inshallah I will make the effort to read more..

there IS no other way arround, and we will carry our Islam with us no matter what. But if they really hate us that much, and if they hate Islam that much, then they can go to hell

We can totally understand non Muslim’s lack of knowledge about Islam, but their hatred is not understandable ! And what I can’t tolerate is the hypocrisy and ignorance of Arab born Muslims. Seriously I have zero tolerance to them.
